Stars, the twinkly ones in the sky, are the heartbeat of Valentine Weekend at Blackwater Falls. The NASA Starlab is at Blackwater Falls State Park again on Sunday.
Join the park naturalist, Paulita Cousin, to crawl into the NASA dome to learn about the night sky and constellations that may be viewed this time of the year. In an indoor interpretive dome, the StarLab experience helps you learn about the night sky and constellations during daytime hours.
The Starlab accommodates up to 25 people at one time and handicap/limited mobility accessibility is possible. There are four StarLab seating/sessions: 10:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
Blackwater Falls State Park and the Tucker County area are known for some of the darkest night skies in West Virginia and the eastern United States. Email [email protected] for additional details.
