Snorkeling in the Greenbrier at Cass
The U.S. Forest Service freshwater snorkeling program gets individuals face-to-face with the creatures that live below the surface of the streams. The Forest Service is offering snorkeling sessions in the Greenbrier River through a partnership with Cass Scenic Railroad State Park. This session is August 6, 2021.
All equipment is disinfected and provided by the Forest Service. The program is intended for school-age children from age seven to age 14, however, anyone is welcome to join in and see what they can discover in the waterway. Parents should accompany youth attending this activity. The session will start at 12:30 p.m.
Each snorkeling day can accommodate up to 30 individuals maximum. However, please call to register for the event by calling the Cass Scenic Railroad State Park visitors center at 304-456-4300. Walk ups will be welcomed the day of the event as available.
