Snakes of WV with Jim Fregonara

Snakes Alive is a great program with WVDNR biologist Jim Fregonara. You’ll learn about the importance of snakes and their habits and get an up-close look at a Black Rat snake, Cornsnake, Milksnake, and Gartersnake and from a little farther distance, WV’s only two venomous snakes, the Timber Rattlesnake and Northern Copperhead. It’s an educational opportunity for all ages.

Meet at the campfire circle near the nature center. Program begins at 2:00 p.m. We social distance and appreciate mask wearing even in the outdoors. If visiting the nature center, mask wearing is required indoors. Thanks.

This interpretive program is free to attend and open to the public.
