Snakes of West Virginia
July 16, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join the Tygart Lake naturalists and WVDNR Biologist Jim Fregonara, on Friday, July 16, as he introduces attendees to a few of the most common serpents that can be found slithering through the woods of West Virginia.
The “Snakes Alive!” event is free to attend and will be offering learning opportunities that could potentially be lifesaving, with Fregonara discussing the different species of venomous and non-venomous snakes and will teach participants how to identify the different types.
The presentation is staged on lawn of the nature center at Tygart Lake State Park at 7:00 p.m. If planning to attend please bring a blanket or chair. In case of inclement weather the program moves to the picnic shelter near the nature center.
Park Naturalist Jacob Jackson encourages the public to attend. There is no fee.
