Drop by the Kanawha State Forest Nature Center to discover the hidden world of fungi through mushroom spore prints. Get an up-close look by examining them under a microscope and learn how these tiny spores help mushrooms reproduce.

If you’re curious about the West Virginia Master Naturalist program, fascinated by fungi, or simply enjoy learning about nature, stop in for a conversation. Amy and Shawn discovered their love of mushrooms through the Master Naturalist program and now teach its mushroom course.
