Saturday in the Park at Blackwater Falls
Spend your Saturday at Blackwater Falls State Park and recharge after a long workweek. Meet at the trailhead of Gentle Trail at 10 a.m. for an interpretive walk along Yellow Birch Trail. The easy one-mile walk with beautiful views lasts about 70 minutes. Open to the public.
After the walk, plan to spend some time at the Nature Center, open noon to 3:30 p.m. At 1:30, learn how some animals survive cold winter months. The “Life in the Cold” program lasts about 30 minutes. At 2:30, watch a film about coywolves. Film lasts about one hour.
