Saturday at North Bend

Fun outside and at the nature center continues at North Bend State Park. Take advantage of Saturday activities as a family, as friends or individuals.
10:00 a.m. – Creek Critters
Put on your water shoes and get ready to get wet as you dive into the small world of critters that inhabit our local waterways. Collect and observe crayfish, insect larva, and other aquatic invertebrates in this interactive program. We will meet at the Nature Center. (1 hour) YPP
12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Nature Center Open
Come inside to enjoy a chance to meet some of our wildlife friends. Take a look around and marvel at the mysteries of nature.
3:00 p.m. – Fishing Derby
Bring your pole and we’ll supply the bait as you try your luck catching the variety of fish in the pond. Anglers up to 14 years old are welcome to participate in this catch and release derby. We will meet at the pond by River Run Campground. (1 hour)
5:00 p.m. – Murbles Tournament
A cross between bocce ball and lawn bowling, Murbles is a fun and exciting game for any age and skill level. Low impact and able to played anywhere, this new game is a perfect fit for state parks! We will meet at the Nature Center. (1 hour)
