Enjoy Saturday outdoors with family-friendly activities at Holly River State Park. Unless indicated, activities begin at the Activities Building.
11 a.m. Wetlands & Watersheds: Learn why wetlands and watersheds are so important for migrating birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles and how wetlands help to filter toxins before they enter our streams and rivers. Meet outside Windy Gap Schoolhouse.
2 p.m. Nature Craft: Make and color a dragonfly and learn about its amazing life cycle. Meet in Balli Pavilion.
8 p.m. Singalong Around the Fire: Come to our Laurel Creek Fire Circle near Carpenter Pavilion. Naturalist Jane will play guitar, autoharp, dulcimer and take requests. Let’s sing around the campfire!
