Pollinators (Monarchs) Matter at Blackwater Falls

July 17, 2018 @ 9:01 pm

Our state butterfly, the Monarch, is an important pollinator and is in danger of being listed on the endangered species list. Learn more about why we should care about Monarchs and how you can help these butterflies survive. Program starts at Blackwater Falls nature center at 2 p.m. All ages welcome.

Blackwater Falls State Park has developed pollinator zones and meadows to support and create a more diverse habitat and has created flower identification learning stops to promote wildlife viewing areas.
