Peak of the Bloom

For 10 days in August in the beautiful hills of West Virginia, many wildflowers are in their peak bloom. Flowers tucked in remote areas of Camp Creek State Park are one of the best kept secrets of our area, and a true moment in time to behold. August 16-25, we will celebrate Peak of the Bloom*, honoring the art of nature.

During the 10 days, events will be held in Camp Creek State Park and Mercer Street Grassroots District celebrating this beauty. Guided photo hikes*, picnics*, plein air painting*, wildcraft & beekeeping demos, music in the park, photo and songwriting contests, public art projects, and other special events will make up the annual celebration. (Activities with an * are conducted at Camp Creek State Park. Other activities of Peak of Bloom are at various Princeton locations.)

Details and times are maintained at www.peakofthebloom.com, which includes a complete schedule of activities and locations.

Peak of the Bloom is a partnership between Camp Creek State Park and the Mercer Street Grassroots District, supported by the National Conservation Fund, National Endowment of the Arts and the Appalachian Regional Commission.
