Outdoor Activities: Twin Falls

It’s mid-June already! Naturalist Tammy Cooper and Ace England invite you to attend these activities on June 16 – 17, 2023. Other activities may be scheduled and will be posted at the lodge and campground. Activities are free to attend and open to the public.

FRIDAY, June 16, 2023
9:00am.
Falls Trail Hike (YPP)
Meet the Naturalist at the Falls Trail Parking lot for a guided hike on one of our
most popular trails. Trail is paved for about 100 yards then becomes very rocky
to the second falls. Allow 1 hour

7:00pm.
Campfire Cobbler
Meet the Naturalist at the campfire circle located beside the campground store for some campfire cobbler – Dutch oven style.

SATURDAY, June 17, 2023
1:00pm.
Cliffside Trail Hike (YPP)
Meet Ace, our Summer Naturalist for a guided hike along the second most popular trail at Twin Falls. Bring water and sturdy shoes are appropriate Allow 1.5 hours for the activity.

2:00 – 6:00pm
Nature Center open
If you didn’t get a chance earlier in the week, stop by today for your last chance to make a Father’s Day Card.

3:00pm.
“Camping 101” (YPP)
Meet Ace at the campground store for a crash course in basic camping techniques and the do’s and don’ts of camping. Allow 20 minutes

9:00pm
Black Light Hike (YPP)
Meet Tammy and Ace at the Falls Trail to see if we can find insects that glow under the black light. We have the lights so no need to worry about not having one to use.
