Outdoor activities at Chief Logan State Park:

Friday, August 7, 2020
From the Cabin Porch
Naturalist Cole will greet visitors from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the park’s authentic pioneer cabin. You’ll step inside and learn about life on the American frontier in the 18th century. Rain or shine. Social distancing must be practiced. Groups of less than 10 will be observed. Cole will be at the site with engaging stories and history about the cabin.

Birding and Explore Hike
Meet at the Park Museum at 10:00 a.m to hike the Cliffside Trail. This guided activity will be looking and listening for birds, as well as flora or other nature based things. Basic birding skills reviewed before hike.

Wildlife Exhibit Tours
From 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Naturalist Lauren Cole will be leading exhibit tours every half hour on the dot. Meet at the gazebo and come through on a guided tour learning about native wildlife, wildlife habitats, and the live animals in the exhibit area.
