Outdoor activities at Chief Logan State Park:

Steam Engine Viewing
Park naturalist Lauren Cole will greet visitors from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the park’s authentic coal-powered steam engine display. Come to take an up-close look at an authentic coal-powered steam engine and learn its history. Small groups only allowed at a time.

Wildlife Exhibit Tours
From 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Naturalist Lauren Cole will be leading exhibit tours every half hour on the dot. Meet at the gazebo and come through on a guided tour learning about native wildlife, wildlife habitats, and the live animals in the exhibit area.

Starry Saturday at Chief Logan Lodge
The computerized telescope will be set up from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to look at celestial bodies in the night sky. Meet at Chief Logan Lodge fire pit. We’ll look at the moon, planets, galaxies, and more. Learn seasonal constellations and other cool facts about the night sky.
