Nature up-close activities open to the public at Chief Logan State Park.

From the Cabin Porch
Cole will greet visitors from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the park’s authentic pioneer cabin. You’ll step inside and learn about life on the American frontier in the 18th century. Rain or shine. Social distancing must be practiced. Groups of less than 10 will be observed. Cole will be at the site with engaging stories and history about the cabin.

Turtle Talk and Trek
Meet at the Park Museum at 10:00 a.m. for World Turtle Day! Learn about our native turtles and a pledge you can take to help them all. This activity includes a Cliffside Trail hike and a short walk long the main green.

Wildlife Exhibit Tours
From 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Naturalist Lauren Cole will be leading exhibit tours every half hour on the dot. Meet at the gazebo and come through on a guided tour learning about native wildlife, wildlife habitats, and the live animals in the exhibit area.

Firefly Fun Walk
Learn about fireflies, earn a glow stick or glow necklace, and go for a walk while we look for fireflies in the wild on the Fitness Trail walk. Meet at the Museum at 8:00 p.m., and we’ll wrap up by 10:00 p.m.
