National Trails Day History Hike — Tygart Lake State Park - June 6, 2026

Join us for a hike to celebrate both Tygart Lake and National Trails Day! We’ll meet at the Tygart Dam parking area by the Almost Heaven swing. There, you’ll hear all about the history and creation of Tygart Lake, get a chance to walk out on the top of the Dam itself, and learn a little more about the woods around us on a short nature walk. The hike will be approximately 1 mile in total distance, and includes some hilly terrain. Be sure to wear good shoes and bring water!
