Today is National Trails Day across the United States.
In West Virginia, Cass Scenic Railroad celebrates National Trails Day with a guided hike that begins from the visitors center (to the left of the Company Store as you face the store) at 1:00 p.m. The hike is about three miles round trip on the Greenbrier River Trail with a slight grade, but mostly flat walking. Please wear sturdy footwear.
The hike is open to the public and fee free. Hikers receive a Trails Day patch at the conclusion of the activity.
