National Trails Day at Twin Falls

June 5, 2021

National Trails Day at Twin Falls Resort State Park features two hikes. Hike with park trail coordinator Brittany Tatters to celebrate hiking and the outdoors.

Hike #1 – Falls Trail Loop. Meet at the Falls Trail parking area at 9:00 a.m. The hike is about 1¼ miles round trip. The first 100 yards is paved and then the experience is nature at its best – wet and rocky. This trail passes by both Marsh Fork and Black Fork Falls, the park namesakes.

Hike #2 – Cliffside Trail. Meet at Cliffside Trail Parking Area (this is in the campground area) at 6:00 p.m. The hike is about three miles total. The first half is a nice gentle hike along a ridge top and then there is an elevation change. Be prepared for a little cardio as we complete the loop at the cliff areas. The views from the cliffs are worth the exercise.

Hikes will leave 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. We don’t like to depart without everyone present. Please dress appropriately with sturdy boots. Open-toed footwear is discouraged. Bring water and bug spray if desired. Earn your trails day patch at the conclusion of one of these hikes.
