Moth Night

Moths are frequently observed at state parks. Tonight we’re going to discover what moths are among us.

A big sheet and black light will be set up at Cass Community Center at 8:30 p.m. The goal is to attract humans to observe moths that occur at Cass and in Pocahontas County. It’s National Moth Week worldwide and at Cass, we’re celebrating and discovering these creatures on Saturday, July 20.

Join us at the Visitors Center and we’ll lead you to the Community Center or meet us there. If you have a Moth or Insect Field Guide, please bring. Also, taking pictures of moths that we attract is encouraged. Nature Interpreter Kailey Price is your Moth Day host. There is no charge and everyone is welcome to attend.
