Lost River Nature Activities

HIKE TO MILLER’S ROCK
Meet Tara at the horse stables for an full day adventure to the top of the mountain. Tara will share some history of the family that once called the mountain top home. Wear good hiking shoes or boots. Pack water and a snack.

MONSTER PLATES
Stop by the Nature Center and take playing with your food to a new level as you create a Monster plate out of healthy snack choices.

CAMPFIRE STORIES AND S’MORES
Gather around the fire pit across from the Recreation Building to hear local legends and ghost stories while enjoying a sweet treat.

GARDEN TOUR
Join Tara at the assistant superintendent’s residence for a look around the garden as she shares some plant history and folklore.

Come by the Nature Center to Create your own magical garden to welcome the folk into your home or garden.

LIGHT HORSE HARRY LEE HISTORY
Gather on the porch of the Lee house to hear some of the military history of one of this nation’s founding fathers.
