King Lear – Appalachian Shakespeare Project

The Appalachian Shakespeare Project returns to Pipestem State Park July 21, 22, and 23 of 2017 to present one of Shakespeare’s most exciting and best-loved tragedies, King Lear. King Lear tells the story of an aging king who attempts to divide his kingdom among his daughters, and of the treachery and violent chaos which ensues. This production will feature sword-play and word play, intrigue, Renaissance costuming, and a cast of local actors, some new to the project and some returning.
