King Lear tells the story of an aging king who attempts to divide his kingdom among his daughters, and of the treachery and violent chaos which ensues. This production will feature sword-play and word play, intrigue, Renaissance costuming, and a cast of local actors, some new to the project and some returning. The Appalachian Shakespeare Project is a community theater organization founded by Concord University in the summer of 2010 that strives to provide the community with an enjoyable and educational experience.
