Kids to Parks Day Celebration — Blackwater Falls State Park - May 16, 2026

Calling all families! On Saturday, May 16, you’ll have a full day of fun and educational activities suitable for all ages at the Harold S. Walters Nature Center. The day begins at 10:00 am with a naturalist led morning walk around Pendleton Lake; at 11:00 am learn all about the parts of a tree with an amazing tree craft; at 12:00 pm its Bug Ball; at 1:00 pm it’s Backbone Bonanza; at 2:00 pm it’s All About Fireflies, and then finish off the day at 3:00 pm with a naturalist led stroll to Pendleton Point.
