It’s a Star Party!

It’s an all-star party. And the stars are, well, stars up in the sky!

The New Era Astronomy Club will be at North Bend State Park to showcase some of the visible stars, planets, and other celestial objects. Several large telescopes to look through will be onsite and club members will assist anyone in attendance in observation.

Feel free to bring your own telescope to use or for advice on techniques and sky watching tips. A good pair of binoculars can also increase observation skills. Construct your own star chart so you can map the night sky anywhere!

Event begins gathering around 8:00 p.m. at North Bend Lodge sky conditions for observations at 8:30 p.m. Overcast night? The activity is still happening and includes making the star map, learning about apps and how to focus telescopes and binoculars.

Family friendly. No fee. Open to the public.
