Investigation on Blennerhassett Island and Mansion
Reserve your presence on the island for a night of paranormal investigation. With reported sightings of apparitions and shadow people, this is considered by many as an active location. A little girl has been seen playing in the walnut room and interacting with children on tours. A woman in red has been seen all over the island. Spirits are said to stand guard in the shadows, while Harman Blennerhassett himself visits the many rooms of the mansion.
Attendees will be locked down on the island overnight. Camping supplies, a cooler with food and snacks for your group, and any investigation equipment you would like are your responsibility. Warm drinks, s’mores, a campfire and use of Hidden Marietta’s investigation equipment will be available throughout the night or bring your own. You must provide your own dinner and breakfast foods. Bonfire will be available for you for the duration of event, as well as electricity and modern bathroom facilities. Advanced registration and fee payment are required. Space is limited.
Registered participants will meet at Point Park at 4:00 p.m. and begin the investigation at 4:30 p.m. on the island. A horse-drawn wagon ride and tour of the island leads into setting up camp. A mansion tour around dusk leads to mansion investigation occurring until midnight. Wandering the island until 3:00 a.m. is permitted with quiet time from 3:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Departure for the mainland begins at 11:30 a.m.
The fee is $80 per person. The event is managed by Hidden Marietta a tour and events company specializing in the weird, the shocking and the spooky side of history. To reserve a spot for this event, please call the event host at 740-538-0520.
