Holly River Hustle 5K Run/Walk
The Annual Holly River Festival on Labor Day weekend features the Holly River Hustle 5K at timed run/walk (3.1 miles). This run/walk is held on Sunday, September 5, 2021, and begins in front of the old shelter (Pavilion) at 9:00 a.m.
This out and back and shady course is gradually uphill for the first half, and downhill coming back – making for a fast finish on blacktop. Shortly before the turnaround point there will be a water station, and there will also be refreshments afterwards at the pavilion!
Registered participants may be able to win an award, based on finishing time. Random drawings for all registered runners and walkers are also held, with an opportunity to win a prize such as a two-night cabin stay at Holly River, gift cards, and handcrafts among other items. If you are registered as a walker or runner and your entry fee is received by August 20, 2021, you are guaranteed a t-shirt as part of the entry fee.
Entry fees, if registered by August 20, 2021, are $20 for adults 18 and over, and $12 for those under 18, with age based on age on race date. Entries received after August 20 are $25 and $15, respectively. For further information on the 5K, and entry forms that can be downloaded and printed, see Facebook: www.facebook.com/HollyRiverHustle5K and Tristate Racer – (2021).
