Going Batty and Talking Turkey

Very dark skies are at Blackwater Falls, very dark. And dark skies mean bright stars and interesting visitors in the night sky.

Bats, Light Pollution and Dark Skies is an interpretative program with Naturalist Paulita Cousin at Blackwater Falls Nature Center at 10:00 a.m. Following this program, “Boris the Bat” Craft with Melissa Evans is family fun. Craft materials fee is $1.50.

Coywolf Nature Film at 12:00 p.m., Harvest Bracelet Craft at 1:00 p.m., Wild About Turkeys at 2:00 p.m., and a Turkey Stained Glass Craft at 2:30 p.m. (craft fee is $1.25) rounds out the afternoon. Activities are conducted at Blackwater Falls Nature Center overlooking Pendleton Lake.
