DESCRIPTION:Walk and rock is a morning hike with Geologist Ken Ashton and Park Naturalist Valerie Chaney. Meet at 10:00 a.m. at Cacapon Lodge parking area. We’ll set foot for a hike on Piney Ridge Trail to learn more and find rocks\, minerals and fossils on this morning walk. This Geology Rockin’ Hike is Thursday\, July 20\, 2023. \nWhen visiting Morgan County\, stop at Berkeley Springs State Park. The museum at Berkeley Springs features some fascinating geology displays and stories. If you are in the Morgantown/Bruceton Mills area on I-68 in your travels\, stop at the West Virginia Geological and Economic Survey museum. \nThere is no charge to attend the Geology Rocks!
