Walk and rock is a morning hike with Geologist Ken Ashton and Park Naturalist Valerie Chaney. Meet at 10:00 a.m. at Cacapon Lodge parking area. We’ll set foot for a hike on Ridge Trail to learn more and find rocks, minerals and fossils on this morning walk. This Geology Rockin’ Hike is Thursday, July 15, 2021.

When visiting Morgan County, stop at Berkeley Springs State Park. The museum at Berkeley Springs features some fascinating geology display and stories.

There is no charge to attend the Geology Rocks! programs. Geology Rocks! is presented by geologists from the West Virginia Geological and Economic Survey. Attendees at Geology Rocks activities receive a Geology Rocks patch.
