Full Moon Hike
November 27 @ 6:00 pm
The full moon lights the way on the Cliffside Trail. Join naturalist Lauren Cole at 6:00 p.m. in front of the park museum (at the bell) and hike by the light of the (full) moon.
A flashlight is recommended for safety reasons, but as dark approaches, we’ll learn about nocturnal animals and your own nighttime vision. Use of a black light as well, to see things in nature that fluoresce – mushrooms, minerals, millipedes, and more make a full moon hike more wondrous. This is an easy hike, however some parts of the trail may have rocks, roots or be near sheer drops. The hike is about a mile total and suitable for all ages.
There is no fee to participate.
