From the Mountain Mists – Ghost Stories
A evening of spine-tingling ghost stories from around the Mountain State of West Virginia is only at Chief Logan State Park. Join local author and storyteller Linley Marcum at the Pioneer Cabin at Chief Logan State Park at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. Seating is limited, but you can bring a blanket or chair. The evening hosts are Lauren Cole and park staff.
The stories are suitable for all audiences. Bring the family for a spooky evening filled with tales of spirits, phantoms, and paranormal activities from across West Virginia.
Ms. Marcum is a 2018 graduate of the University of Illinois Springfield. An English major, she has studied folklore and legends from around the world and has focused on ghost stories from the Mountain State. She has written several horror short stories and a collection of short stories in paperback. Storytelling is set at the cabin and is an outdoor setting. Please dress for October weather.
Visitors from afar may elect to spend the night at Chief Logan Lodge. Reservations are available online and express breakfast is included in overnight reservations.
