BEGINNERS BIRD WALK
Join the park naturalist at Blackwater Falls Lodge for a stroll around the area listening and looking for feathered friends. About 1 hour. YPP

11:00 a.m.
NATURAL CORDAGE – Making Rope
Kenny Noland meets all ages interested in learning some basics about creating cordage from plants and perhaps try a little rope making on your own. About 1 hour. It is amazing how strong rope can be that is made from dandelions! Yes dandelions. YPP

1:00 p.m.
SNAKE MEET AND GREET
Join park naturalist Paulita Cousin for an up close and personal look at one of the native snakes to West Virginia. Learn more about other snakes found in West Virginia, threats they face and how they affect your life for the good. About 1 hour. All ages welcome. YPP

2:00 p.m.
PAINT A SNAKE CRAFT
Join the staff to paint a wooden wiggly snake. Craft fee: $3.00

3:00 p.m.
RAMBLING RANGERS
A park naturalist will be in the lobby of Blackwater Falls Lodge inviting you to the weekend activity program and have an interesting item to show. Can you guess what it is? About 45 minutes. All ages welcome. YPP

4:00 p.m.
FINGER PAINTING!!
Time for fun. Meet the naturalist for the art/craft activity at the nature center!
