It will be a good morning to the new year at Cedar Creek State Park for a First Day Hike.
Superintendent Ben Leedom says: “We’ll post more information about our hike as we get nearer the New Year.”
This First Day Hike on January 1, 2024 is doable for all ages and skill levels. Allow about an hour of time to be outdoors. There is no charge to participate. Folks completing the hike receive a First Day Hike patch. Folks interested can call Cedar Creek State Park at 304-462-8517 for more information.
First Day Hikes are part of a nationwide initiative led by America’s State Parks to get people outdoors, with hikes scheduled in all 50 states. Kids and adults all across America will be participating in First Day Hikes, getting their hearts pumping and enjoying the beauty of a state park.
