First Day Hike
Take your first step into the New Year with a hike at Chief Logan State Park on January 1. Departing from the park office/Museum in the Park, the wintry walk begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends in plenty of time to enjoy lunch at Chief Logan Lodge (Whispering Ridge Restaurant).
Plan on about 2-3 miles of peaceful walking. Identification of trees, tracks, looking for wildlife, and learning about evergreens is part of the discovery. Please, dress for weather conditions. Young children should be accompanied by an adult. All ages welcomed. No reservations required for this walk. Please, carry water and a snack. To learn more, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Hikers get a patch at the conclusion of the activity.
