Family Trails Weekend at North Bend is three days of outdoor activity. Sunday activities include:
- 9 a.m. Join the park naturalist and take a closer look at the world of birds in this beginner bird walk. Binoculars and field guides are recommended but not required. We will meet at the Cokeley Recreation Area Bathhouse. Activity lasts about one hour.

- 2 p.m. Learn the basics of using your GPS device for the newest way to treasure hunt: geocaching. A limited number of GPS devices will be available for you to use as we search for some of North Bend State Park’s hidden caches. Basic instruction and information is best for geocachers age 12 and older. Meet at the Nature Center. Activity lasts about and hour and a half.
- 4 p.m. Hike through an ancient white pine forest and keep an eye out for the local wildlife. Moderate grades with smooth tread. Meet at the Lodge. Hike lasts about one hour, and is a half mile.
