There is nothing greater than discovering things outdoors as spring arrives. Have fun with Naturalist Valerie Chaney and attend these activities if visiting for the day or staying at Cacapon.

10:30 a.m. Life Cycle of a Frog: Meet at the Nature Center to learn all about the interesting life of frogs and toads. Let’s listen to their many sounds! A craft to follow. (1 hour)
11:30 a.m. Nature Walk: Meet at the Nature Center. Let’s hike to Cacapon’s Lake to see if we can find tadpoles. Bug viewers and nets provided. (45 minutes)

10:00 a.m. Ridge Trail: Meet at the Nature Center. Join park volunteer and WV Master Naturalist for a 1.5 mile moderate hike. Lean about the park history while taking in the beautiful scenery. (1 hour)
11:30 a.m. Eyewitness Amphibian: Meet at the Nature Center to watch this movie about the amazing double life of amphibians: frogs, toads, & salamanders. (30 minutes)
1:00 p.m. Bingo! Meet at the Nature Center for a fun game of nature bingo while learning all sorts of fun facts about nature. (20 minutes)
