DESCRIPTION:Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer with Chao TianFrom China to Appalachia – Americana meets Classical \n\n\n\nThe Morgan Arts Council (MAC) welcomes GRAMMY Award winning American Rootsartists Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer joining with Chinese classical hammered dulcimer playerChao Tian in a show that combines music from China to Appalachia and beyond.This concert is on Saturday\, July 15\, 2023 at Berkeley Springs State Park. \n\n\n\nInstrumentation includes yangqin (Chinese hammered dulcimer)\, gourd banjo\, five-stringbanjo\, ukulele\, guitars\, dumbek\, cello-banjo and mandolin. From China to Appalachia wasborne of a friendship and mutual love of musical exploration experienced in jam sessionsthat inspired a show speaking to the power of music to connect cultures. \n\n\n\nBring a blanket\, chairs\, or picnic for a great evening of free music in the park.All concerts start at 5:30 p.m. in Berkeley Springs State Park. \n\n\n\nThis year’s sponsors for the series include the WV Department of Arts\, Culture and History\,and the National Endowment for the Arts\, with approval from the WV Commission on theArts\, and local hotel/motel taxes. \n\n\n\nFind more information about Music in the Park at Berkeley Springs State Park on Facebook\,MAC Ice House.
