Early August weekends at Chief Logan State Park offer these outdoor tours, exhibits and hikes.

Friday, August 6, 2021

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
PIONEER CABIN TOURS
Step back into history inside a pioneer cabin from the late 1700’s! Tours run continuously, last 10-20 minutes. Come in the first 30 minutes to see a primitive fire-starting demonstration! Tour host is Lauren Cole.

1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
WILDLIFE EXHIBIT TOURS
Come to the Chief Logan Wildlife Exhibit to enjoy special programming, including demonstrations on wildlife safety, guided tours through the exhibit, animal enrichment, and more! We are hoping for good weather as the exhibit closes in inclement weather. Tour hosts are Lauren Cole, CIG, and Carrie Kirkendoll.

8:00 p.m.
BLACK LIGHT NIGHT HIKE
Meet at Chief Logan Museum to participate in a night hike along the easy 1-mile Cliffside Trail. Exploring in the dark with a black light for the park’s fluorescent critters and fungi! Flashlight is recommended for this hike. Youth should be accompanied by an adult.

We always hope for good weather as the exhibit closes when the weather is bad. Tour hosts are Lauren Cole, CIG, and Carrie Kirkendoll.
