Cass Homecoming on Saturday at Cass Scenic Railroad
June 14 – 16 is Cass Homecoming. Saturday is full of free activities to enjoy.
Hay Wagon Rides are planned from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Come take a hay wagon ride! Rides depart from the Cass Maintenance Shop. Rides last 15-20 minutes and are free of charge!
Live Music with Homer Hunter. It’s live music from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Homer Hunter and Stony Bottom Bluegrass will be playing in the Cass Community Center. Snacks will be available.
Company Store Tours are planned twice on June 15 at 2:15 p.m. and again at 6:00 p.m.
Take a tour through the Cass Company Store formally known as the Pocahontas Supply Company. We will take you on a walk back through time as we show you the first and second floor of the store and share the history of what was sold here during logging days.
Pickin’ on the Porch begins at 6:00 p.m.! We supply the porch if you supply the music. Guests and local musicians gather on the front porch of the Cass Company Store to play music every Saturday. This music is played by volunteers and anyone can join in on the fun. Saturdays vary from week to week, sometimes we have pickers and sometimes we have none!
Square Dance from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Cass Community Center. Join in for the fun and activity.
