Campfire & Ghost Stories
West Virginia native and professional storyteller Adam Booth invites one and all to an evening of Campfire Ghost Stories. Booth has entertained audiences for over 12 years. While at Shepherd University and working on a folklife project for an Appalachian culture class, he learned about the Liar’s Contest at the annual Vandalia Gathering. The first time, Booth came in 3rd place. He returned to win this contest for four years, then was asked back to judge the competition for three more years. Booth has also performed across the country and featured in the May 2018 “Wonderful WV” magazine on the art of Appalachian Storytelling. Join Booth at the Campfire Circle outside the Cacapon Nature Center at 8:30 p.m. for a spooky evening of ghost stories and tall tales! Open to the public without charge.
