NOTE: Peak Monarch Butterfly Migration is now through September 26 in the Cacapon area. Great areas to view monarchs are the park’s wildflower fields. To access this area, park at the tennis court parking and walk in the direction of the horse stables, or, if vehicles are pulled off road and parked in the grass, near the field is acceptable.

Additionally: Stop by the Tom Ambrose Nature Center to see the monarch butterfly in all life stages. Many monarch caterpillars are enjoying the milkweed and monarch chrysalis are all around the nature center ready for the adult monarch butterfly to emerge! It is fascinating for all ages to observe.
