Join us on Saturday\, July 15\, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. onBlennerhasset Island. \n\n\n\nThe term Foodways is defined as an in-depth look at people (the Blennerhassett Family) in alocation (Blennerhassett Island) and examines the procurement\, the preparation\, and thepresentation of food on their table. \n\n\n\nAs the tour participants walks through the Mansion we will learn about the foods of the timeperiod and how the success of social entertainment at the Blennerhassett Mansion dependsupon food whether it was a dinner in the formal Dining Room\, Tea in the Parlor\, or refreshmentsat an Evening of Dancing. Explore seasonality\, cooking methods\, and food preservation in theSummer Kitchen. Step back in time with us. This is an exceptional tour and unique to theisland. \n\n\n\nThe cost of this one-hour event is $5.00 for adults.
