Birdwatching at the Museum
This bird watching activity is open and free to attend at Chief Logan State Park. Beginning at 8:00 a.m., meet Naturalist Lauren Cole at the Museum/Gift Shop/Park Headquarters for birding observation and conversation. Cole will have binoculars to loan during the bird walk.
Bird species Cole has identified on the park include: Eastern Bluebirds, American Goldfinches, Eastern Towhees, Northern Flickers, Hermit Thrushes, Red-breasted Nuthatches, Purple Finches, Golden-Crowned Kinglets, Coopers Hawks, and most recently Pine Siskins.
While visiting on Sunday, enjoy hiking trails and watch for the spring wildflowers and wildlife emerging.
