Monarch Butterfly Craft at 11:00 a.m.
Meet in the activities building to learn about the Monarch butterfly and its migratory journey through a fun craft and story. YPP
Furs of WV at 1:00 p.m.
Meet in the activities room to learn about native animals to West Virginia and observe the pelts. You may touch the furs, but we will be observing proper social distancing and sanitation. YPP
Anything Red, White and Blue! at 3:00 p.m.
Meet in front of the Campers Corner Store and get ready to take off through the park to snap pictures of objects that contain America’s colors in ONE hour!

Patriotic Scavenger Hunt at 12:00 p.m.
Meet in front of Camper’s Corner Store to pick up your list and take off through the park to find as many patriotic items from the list as possible! If possible, take a picture of your findings. Meet back in front of the store at 1:00 p.m. to receive a fun prize for participating.
All About Eagles! at 2:00 p.m.
The American Bald Eagle has been the national bird of the United States since 1782! Come to the activities room to make your own bald eagle craft and learn about the American Bald Eagles and the Gold Eagle! YPP

Star Spangled ‘Banner’ Craft at 11:00 a.m.
Meet in the activities room to make your own patriotic banner made of popsicle stick stars.
Tree Walk at 1:00 p.m.
Meet outside in front of the Camper’s Corner Store to take an easy 1-mile hike on the paved fitness loop while identifying trees along the way. YPP
Fourth of July Trivia at 3:00 p.m.
How well do you know America? Its founding fathers? Its national symbols? Come to the activities room to show off your knowledge! Winner gets a free ice cream.
Night Hike at 8:30 p.m.
Join your naturalist at the campfire circle for a fun nocturnal hike on the Long Branch Trail as we observe the sights and sounds of the forest as nighttime approaches!

Tie Dye! 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., every 1/2 hour
Tie-dying will take place behind the park headquarters in the grass. Ten people per session (1/2-hour) is the maximum number we can accommodate with social distancing guideline and sanitation of the materials. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the park office. You must sign up to participate in tie-dying. It will be first come, first served. There will be six sessions between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Purchase your white Beech Fork State Park t-shirt from the Campers Corner Store (or bring your own white cotton t-shirt.)
Fourth of July Fishing Tournament from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Bring your fishing tackle to shelter four for an evening of fun. Rules of the tournament will be reviewed at 4:50 p.m., and the fishing tournament will start promptly at 5:00 p.m. Prizes go to the biggest fish caught and most fish caught. Guidelines and fishing license information available at the park office.

“Selfie” Scavenger Hunt at 1:00 p.m.
Bring your phone or a camera and meet outside the Camper’s Corner Store to pick up your list! The first individual/family to return with the most items found from the list wins a fun prize! Winner decided at 2:00 p.m.
Make Your Own Rock Animal at 2:30 p.m.
Meet in the activities room to paint your own rock animal. Paint provided; you bring a rock.
Turtle Talk at 4:00 p.m.
Join your naturalist in the activities building to learn about turtles in West Virgina and how YOU can help protect the box turtles while participating in a fun craft. Learn about how to report turtle sighting for a WVDNR survey. YPP.
YPP: Young People for Parks is an environmental education program for children ages 6-16. To complete the program, participants attend three specified activities during their stay. These programs are indicated by the YPP logo. Participants will also complete the information on a special YPP brochure. After turning it into the park’s naturalist, each participant will receive a YPP certificate of accomplishment. See your naturalist for the brochures and additional information.
