Bat Night Bonfire

October 23 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

This is a super popular event at the forest because you’ll learn all kinds of interesting facts about bats, their importance, and have a ton of fun too!

Biologist Doug Wood will discuss the importance of bats to the environment and delve into specifics about the 9-species of bats that call Kanawha State Forest home. The Kanawha State Forest Foundation welcomes you.

For the kids, there will be bat crafts, bat games and bat cookies.

We’ll end the evening with a bonfire, hot chocolate and s’mores.
