13th Annual Eagle Survey & Spring Birding Weekend

Flock to Pipestem Resort State Park for a weekend full of bird watching and observing bald eagles in the wild. The weekend will kick off Friday evening with a presentation by park naturalist Julie McQuade called Birding 101- Be a Better Bird Watcher.

On Saturday we will be participating in the 13th Annual Spring Eagle Survey. The survey will take place by the lake at nearby Bluestone State Park and occurs from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Saturday evening will feature a program presented by Three Rivers Avian Center. “Wings of Wonder” will feature live birds of prey including a Bald eagle!

To learn about the survey, find that detailed information in the event posting for Eagle Survey on January 11, 2020. All activities are free to attend and family friendly. You can participate in any or all activities this weekend.

The weekend will conclude with a Sunday morning bird walk that begins at McKeever Lodge.
