SUMMARY:WonderFall Hike – Pipestem Resort State Park
DESCRIPTION:WonderFall Hike: Country Roads – Meet the Naturalist at Park Headquarters for a walk along the road and into the woods. We will look for evidence of Pipestem’s pre-park history. Pictures and stories will be shared while we enjoy the beauty of the fall foliage around us. We will also learn about plants we encounter along the way and how they tie into history as well. This walk is about one-mile long and takes approximately 1.5 hours. And if you would like to walk a little further\, we can also visit a cemetery where some of the folks you will hear about are buried. And as a bonus\, participants of the WonderFall Hike will receive a special patch.

The individual talents of our state park chefs come alive as they craft unforgettable culinary experiences\, preparing sumptuous dinners with the freshest products sourced from local vendors. \n\n\n\nEach dinner in the series will feature its own unique theme\, setting\, entertainment and menu. These annual events at West Virginia’s state park restaurants create a unique summertime experience you don’t want to miss! \n\n\n\nOverlooking the breathtaking view of the Bluestone Gorge\, the culinary staff of the Bluestone Dining Room has created a farm-to-table dining experience that will be as amazing as the view outside your table. This buffet will feature honey pecan mountain trout fillet\, apple cider braised local pork loin\, Appalachian slow braised local chuck in a savory West Virginia gravy\, homemade southern style mash potatoes with chives\, country green beans with bacon\, rustic honey roasted carrots with cumin\, roasted local butternut squash risotto\, local honey garlic chicken wings\, skillet biscuits\, fresh farmers coleslaw\, Appalachian macaroni salad\, farmhouse kale salad with roasted sweet potato chips\, sunflower seeds\, blueberries\, cranberries\, feta cheese\, and lemon dijon vinaigrette\, roasted Dutch Fork pumpkin soup with local honey\, along with a beautifully displayed assortment of local meats\, cheeses\, breads\, farm crafted jams and pickles\, as well as peach cobbler and apple butter pie. \n\n\n\nThe price for Pipestem’s farm-to-table buffet is $55 per person\, all inclusive. Stop by the Bluestone Lounge located at the entrance of the Bluestone Dining Room for a selection of beers\, wines\, and cocktails either before or after dinner. Join us for the 2026 Farm to Table Event Series. Located deep within the Bluestone Gorge\, Mountain Creek Lodge is a small 30-room lodge and restaurant that is accessible only by aerial tramway. SUMMARY:Wings of Wonder-Live Birds of Prey: North Bend State Park
DESCRIPTION:Three Rivers Avian Center (TRAC) is live at North Bend State Park on November 14th at 4PM. The educational birds are a great opportunity to learn what birds say “who cooks for me\, who cooks for you all?” as well as meeting other raptors. \n\n\n\nThis nature program is all about raptors native to West Virginia: hawks\, eagles\, falcons\, and owls. You’ll learn about the habitat\, diet and behavior of each bird presented\, the most common causes of injury to each species and the laws protecting these special birds. \n\n\n\nThere is no fee to attend. Open to the public\, the program lasts about an hour and is staged at the Douglass conference room at our lodge. Questions are welcomed. This is a family friendly event. An excellent presentation for all ages. Join us with Three Rivers Avian Center and to meet the birds of prey.
